Biography

On land

Dom Tinley is a digital strategy and communications consultant with 30 years’ experience in the public, private, and third sectors.

He joined the BBC in 1997 as one of its first web producers, moving to Channel 4, before working as a Development Producer for Culture Online, a landmark Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) initiative that brought together arts, education, and emerging technology at a moment when all three were changing rapidly.

From 2005 to 2008, Dom was the first Head of Online for the Houses of Parliament, where he oversaw the consolidation and a major relaunch of the parliamentary website, and led Parliament’s first digital engagement via online consultations and social media.

Since 2008, he has worked with organisations of all shapes and sizes on strategy, communications, facilitation, and digital delivery. He operates through his consultancy, Tinley Media Ltd.
