I have consulted on a wide range of digital and strategy projects for public institutions and charities. Some examples include:
Arts Council
Provided independent advice to Arts Council England to support the procurement of new systems and a new website to support its educational initiative Artsmark. Led workshops to pin down the requirements, and defined the criteria by which to select a supplier. The outcome of this work has been a change of strategy and significant savings.
National Gallery
Facilitated workshops for the Executive Board of the National Gallery to review the organisation’s vision for 2024 and beyond. The outcome of this work is a more ambitious and detailed set of goals that complement and build on the gallery’s statutory obligations.
BBC R&D
Commissioned by BBC Research & Development to create a guide to innovation for staff. The work involved assessing a range of innovation methods and describing how they could be applied to BBC challenges. The work was extended to include research into the timescales and resource requirements for each method, and to create a template plan for new projects.
Kew Gardens
Facilitated a series of workshops for Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to develop detailed plans for a national outreach initiative supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. Worked with a team of internal staff, suppliers and other stakeholders to schedule the whole programme of activities, including media engagement, product development and fulfilment.
